The Library of Virginia's collection of historical records, books periodicals, and more include records from colonial times to the present. A list of the library's newspaper holdings is available here. Collections are searchable in the online card catalog. The library has two discussion lists, one for Virginia history and the other for Virginia genealogy. Virginia Digital Memory is the digital collection of the Library of Virginia.
